The holiday season is in full swing, with the annual Christmas spectacular by the MSO, The Nutcracker by Dance Wisconsin, and a concert by the Festival Choir of Madison. Search warrants raise questions about official claims

Brittany Zimmermann's screams are apparently captured on an audiotape of a 911 call she placed as she was being attacked inside her downtown Madison apartment, according to newly released court documents. "The disconnect call started with the sound of a woman screaming and the line remains active and open picking up the background sounds of a struggle for a short period of time," according to a search warrant affidavit signed by Madison Police Det. Resolution calls for city to design sustainable neighborhoods

Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz's plan is to "start with the macro, the big picture," and not with the details. The details can always be worked out later, in committees and such.
